I have been doing my chemotherapy there since 2014 ! I'm 33 with stomach cancer n it's very rare that I get this type of cancer in my age, health, n time if life but younge healthy people get gastric cancer to, I was told that I may have to make my bucket list, the doctor confirmed my cancer 3 times to make sure they was correct after having my leftvovary removed before we foyndciyr it was the cancer attacking my body but differently not like any other case, so we did aggressive chemo to try to save my other ovary, failed but still alive after four years of back j n forth, not give ing up n continued driving 1 1/2 hiyr away for my treatment, three times a week, then once a week now every 2 weeks , they didn't give up on me n I didn't give u p on my doctors, they took my case above the tumor board with MD Anderson to confirm my microscope cancer more then 4 times, I wasn't supposed to surrpassed my survival rate but I did! The nurses was amazing n treated me with care each time!! Chemo is hard but they took special care with me even when I didn't know what to expect!!! I lost all my hair n ended up with a free wig, hats, n compliment
I delivered my daughter here via C-Section. The labor and delivery suites are spacious and brand new with an extra bed, small fridge etc..All nurses and staff went above and beyond..
Come to an appointment in the GI clinic, League City campus, The doctor is running behind from a medical procedure, which is understandable. However, we must wait 2 hours and still pay the copay for a follow up appointment, or reschedule for 2 months out. While waiting, come to find out 3 patients were scheduled at the same time. Who pays for my waiting time? and my wasted sick leave time? Nobody cares! Not only it is a business, it is a bad business, with no concern for the patient!
Experience was great when I delivered my daughter. But 9 months after the fact I keep receiving bills in the mail. The last one was for $8,800. When I left the hospital I was told I would pay around $3,831, I’m up to $10,000. Also my first billing statements have magically disappeared of my chart, how convenient!
Thanks but no thanks. I'm not sitting in a chair with my sick baby for hours, where he is not going to be comfortable there to eat after already saying he wasn't eating!
I came here expressing concern about my 6 month old not eating due to being sick with an upper respiratory infection. What do they do? Sit me in a chair in the hallway with him! I breastfeed my child and need a little more privacy than that. Left there and went somewhere else that does have a room.
! Now I'm in remission n alive, with another chance at life with my daughter n family, I'm blessed n making my own story!! It's up to u or not if u want to survive!!
I only come here because my 6 month old's pediatrician is part of Utmb bay colony, their info is all in the same database so they already have everything on file , and his doctor can access emergency reports.
